Joey Baumer has been a part of the aquatics industry for nearly two decades. Currently he is the Director of Aquatics for The Jenkins Organization and Great Escapes RV Resorts where he oversees the operations of 14 aquatics programs across the United States. Baumer started his career as a lifeguard for a Boy Scout Camp in Ohio before going on to operate aquatics programs at Coney Island Park in Cincinnati, Ohio and Gulf Islands Waterpark in Gulfport, Mississippi. He is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University where he obtained his B.S. in anthropology with a minor in psychology. Baumer is a Certified Pool & Spa Operator Instructor with the PHTA, an active member of CMAHC, a member of the WWA Resort Committee and previously served on the WWA Safety Committee. He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and is a PADI Scuba Diver. He has a passion for safety and volunteers his free time to various disaster relief programs.
