Scott Silar has more than 25 years of hospitality experience in the amusement industry. He is currently the Assistant Director of Attractions at Hersheypark, where he oversees the management of more than 1,200 attraction operators and lifeguards, and the ongoing safe operation of more than 70 attractions. Silar sits on the WWA’s Resort Committee and is the President and on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Amusement Parks & Attractions and serves on its waterpark committee. In addition, he is on ASTM’s F24 committee for Amusement Rides and Devices. Silar is a Jeff Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, and is certified as an EMT, Pennsylvania State Ride Inspector II, Certified Pool Operator, Aquatic Facility Operator and National Weather Service SkyWarn Certified Advanced Storm Spotter. In his spare time he devotes time to Project Fellowship with the Milton Hershey School as well as the Boy Scouts of America.
