David Thompson

David Thompson

David Thompson serves as the General Manager for Cowabunga Bay. His focus includes improving operational efficiencies to grow both topline revenue and overall profitability while exceeding guest experience expectations and highlighting a customer service mindset. He started in the industry in 2009 as a cashier at Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari located in Santa Claus, Indiana. He was able to adapt quickly and learn various new skills and gain the experience needed to ascend into leadership. From there, he has held many different roles which have led him to Typhoon Texas. In 2017, Thompson began his career at Typhoon Texas as the Food and Beverage Manager. His previous role was Regional Director of Revenue for Cowabunga Vegas. What motivates him the most is growing and developing team members for their future endeavors. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Kentucky Wesleyan College. He is currently pursuing his MBA from UNLV. In his free time, he enjoys playing indoor soccer, slow pitch softball, spending the day on the beach, and camping.
