With higher demand to offer new and exciting features for guests, brand new spaces and complete rebuilds are not always a viable solution for waterparks on a limited budget. All projects, regardless of size, are subject to some sort of budget, and it’s no secret that the construction market has experienced significant impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic such as supply chain delays and soaring material prices. This combination of factors requires even more strategic front-end planning to maximize the budget, and to achieve the desired program. Luckily, there are many solutions to maximize aquatic offerings. In this learning session, attendees will learn how to implement strategies that consider future phasing, expansion, retrofitting and revitalization technologies and design approaches in new aquatic center and waterpark designs, and, even more importantly, how to retrofit existing aquatic play spaces without breaking the budget.
