Chris Nawracaj is the Superintendent of Park Operations for the Lake County Parks Department, Deep River Waterpark. He started at the waterpark in 2004 working in maintenance while going to Purdue University where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Technology. After leaving the industry for a few years after college, he returned to Deep River as the park’s Operations Manager in 2014. In 2016, he was promoted and became the General Manger at Deep River and served in that role for 8 years until he took on his current position. With a passion for water quality and technology he has transformed the way Deep River manages their water. Over the years, Nawracaj has spoken on several panels for the World Waterpark Association as well as the Indiana Park and Recreation Association and has contributed to numerous articles for various industry publications.
