Sonya Mason is currently serving as the Food and Beverage Committee Chair for WWA. Mason is the Food and Beverage General Manager with Massanutten Resort . Mason has actively been taking on management roles within various types of business and volunteer settings for approximately 20 years, throughout 5 different states and 2 continents, and working with cultural and language barriers from multiple countries around the globe. Each situation has brought her in contact with unique settings, customers, co-workers, and employees: from Dollywood, to running a coffee shop and retail stores on Martha’s Vineyard, to building an ExPat networking group of nearly 1,000 in South Korea, to feeding 1500 students up to 3 meals daily in the 2nd largest school system in Virginia, and into the world of waterparks at SplashDown in Manassas, Va. Her experiences have led her to understand how integral food trends, diet inclusivity, and ease of production are to maximizing sales volume and customer satisfaction..
